I kid you not...this is just a few of the many, many pictures we took. What a BEAUTIFUL family!!! I tell you what - this was fun! I know that Erin might beg to differ, she was the one that was running around doing cartwheels trying to get everyone to look at the camera and smile. Okay - she wasn't really doing cartwheels, but she was pretty intense on the getting people to smile part. Thanks Erin, you made my job about a hundred times easier. Anyway, enjoy the preview....

pictures...finally

I had the most amazing opportunity to take pictures of two beautiful families recently. These are just a few of the many wonderful photos we were able to get. Thank you so much to both families for allowing me to photograph you and your beautiful children. Enjoy everyone!!

We had a great weekend with our friends, the Armstrongs. We were able to see O at the Bellagio and go out two of our three nights together. We always have a wonderful time with them, we laugh A LOT and we appreciate them coming down to visit during their break. Thanks guys! I can't get my pictures to post right now or I would show you some fun pictures from the weekend. I'll have to take a raincheck.

This week our family (minus Darrel) is in San Diego. Elise came with her little ones and we took off Sunday night for our fun week together. We went to Legoland on Monday, the beach yesterday, and today we're going to the pool at the condo and to the temple later today for pictures. My mom flew in Monday night and she is flying out tonight so we are taking full advantage of our time together. Yesterday at the beach, though, Johnathan got mega burned. Which is one of the big reasons that we are not returning to the beach today. We'll have a fun laid back day today and then tomorrow and Friday we will spend both those days at Legoland again. We are having a great time, although we miss our daddy. As soon as I can post pictures I will...so stay tuned.

Baseball

One of the definitions of baseball should be: long periods of boring with short bursts of excitement. I got a few good photography shots but mostly baseball is a LOT of sitting on a very hard bench cheering on a few teams who really don't know a whole lot about the game. Oh well, it's worth it to see your child happy and involved in a sport. Johnathan loves baseball and is actually a pretty good little player.

more pictures of our fun weekend

I have some more fun pictures of our weekend. Like I said in my previous post, after the soccer game we went to the park to play some baseball as a family. We all took our turns at batting, including Grandma Miki, who I understand used to be a heck of a softball player. This first picture is Zachary's attempt at hitting the baseball. He did alright, hitting a baseball is kind of a hard thing to do.

Johnathan pitching to everyone. He actually does a pretty good job pitching. He pitches for his team every week in the games. He is one of three pitchers that take turns pitching for the team.
In this last picture, Johnathan is climbing the tree to retrieve the soccer ball that was kicked up into the tree.

our weekend with grandparents

Darrel's parents came to visit us and stayed overnight for the first time in our married lives. Darrel's dad has been sick for quite a long time and hasn't been able to be around people, but he is slowly getting better and he has learned what triggers to avoid, so we aired out our house and
they brought an air filter for the room they were going to stay in and we had house guests for a night. It was so fun to have then around. We had a great time together. First they came and watched Alex play in his soccer game. Unfortunately they were only able to see him play one position. He played goalie the entire game, but he did a great job and they were very proud of him. Here is a picture of Alex blocking a shot on goal.

After Alex's game we went to the park and played baseball as a family. Grandpa Buzz watched from the sidelines.

I played in photoshop again and did some fun things to this cute picture of Zach. There will be more to come, I just thought I'd share the one that was done.

we LOVE baseball

On Sunday after we took family pictures Darrel played baseball with the older boys and I played with Zach. We had a great time playing and the weather was awesome. The boys love baseball - especially Johnathan and I have to say, he is pretty good. After baseball we went up and let them play on the playground equipment. I know that Sunday is not a great day to play like this but I really wanted these pictures of my kids and we promised them a time to play afterwards so they would smile great for me. I really did get some awesome pictures so I was happy. I know that I am progressing in my abilities as a photographer but I still need quite a bit of experience before I am really confident in what I do. I just need a few thousand clicks under my belt to feel better about myself. I am slowly but surely getting that experience and I know I will only feel better and better about my abilities. I took some pictures of my boys tonight at the park. I've been wanting to do this for awhile now and the stars finally aligned and I was able to get some kickin good pictures of my kids. We had some fun outtakes and some really great pictures. The boys were very good sports about it all and had some beautiful smiles for their mom. Enjoy the preview... there will be more coming.

On Friday night we went to Johnathan's baseball practice. I didn't get a great picture of Johnathan but I did get a cool one of Zach and one of Darrel and Alex. I'll just have to keep taking my camera to practice and games until I get a winning picture of Johnathan. Johnathan has decided that he likes baseball the best. Alex has dubbed soccer his favorite sport. I am very glad that my boys enjoy playing sports and I hope they continue at least into high school.

Adams Family Pictures

The other weekend when I visited Elise in Colorado I was able to take some family pictures while Les was home. The kids were so cute and we got some really fun pictures of the kids and the family together. Thanks Elise for being so good to work with, I had a great time taking these pictures.

Savior of the World

This past weekend it was my extreme pleasure to go to Colorado and see my sister, Elise, in the production, "Savior of the World". She did SUCH a fabulous job - I was SO proud of her. These are just a few pictures I was able to take of her during the dress rehearsal of the show. I also was able to have a really fun weekend with my mom, dad, brother Ben, and Elise's in laws, and of course, Les, Elise's husband who was home on leave from Iraq.

I thought I would get on here and share a few more pictures from the other day. We are having a little bit of a "cold snap" this weekend so I like looking at these pictures of my boys having so much fun playing outside. For the most part my boys play really well together and I love to watch them interact with each other. These photos are just a few more of my favorites.

Alex's first soccer game of spring season

Alex played in his first soccer game of the spring season today. He played goalie for the first half, but I didn't happen to get any pictures of him doing that - I will on the next game. It was sooooo cold this morning too...the wind was merciless. Zach complained the entire game, even though we had blankets and he had a sweatshirt on. Alex's team was down a player so all the kids played the whole game. They lost 0-2 but they played their little hearts out. Hopefully the next couple of games will go better for them.
